September 8th - THE EAZY PEAZY WEEKLY - CRAMMED IT ALL INTO ONE WEEK!

Hey Friend,

Oh me oh my - we are off to the races and knee-deep in ALL of it. And by all, I mean literally everything. Catering? Yep, did that this week. Football games? Absolutely. Pregame meals? Of course, why not. Searching for a lost hearing aid in a stadium? Uh-huh, add that to the resume. Joined a book club at the boys’ school? Sure, because what’s one more thing?! And let’s not forget we also installed a brand-new backyard and a fence. Because obviously, the answer is always “why not” when life is already bananas.

And then, just when I start spiraling about doing way too much (and picturing myself checking into a spa for a 3-week recovery), BOOM — a client sends the sweetest love note about how we saved her week. And that, right there, is why we do what we do: saving one mom at a time, eliminating dinner decisions, keeping you sane. We got you. Always.

Now, speaking of sanity… the boys’ school started a book club with The Anxious Generation. Did I want to join? Hard pass. Did the universe keep shoving it in my face until I caved? Yup. So here I am, reading Part 1, and YIKES, YIKES, YIKES. This world we’re raising kids in is straight-up wild. The Principal asked us to reflect on when we got our first cell phone. Can you remember? (No, pagers don’t count. 😂)

For me, my dad had one of those “for emergencies only” car phones when I was in high school. And I didn’t get my own until AFTER college and my first job. WHAT?! Also, do you remember landlines? If you don’t know what that is, please don’t speak to me. If you’ve never been leashed to the wall by a curly cord, only able to walk three feet before it yanked you back, you have not lived my friend. Anyway, this book digs deep into how tech is shaping generations, fueling anxiety, and increasing youth suicides, depression and the instant gratification. It’s heavy but eye-opening. If you haven’t read it, add it to your list - especially if you have girls (my mind is blown on the boy parts, too. Don't get me wrong). And if you have read it, tell me all your thoughts and feelings. Because I have plenty!

Okay. Let’s talk about something lighter… like flies. Do you love eating outside but hate when flies and bees crash your dinner party? Yeah, me too.

It’s like setting a gorgeous table and then boom—the flies show up like uninvited relatives at Thanksgiving. Loud, nosy, and acting like the turkey was made just for them. But then I found THIS magical little gadget and let me tell you… relatives, BE GONE. Pure peace. I even packed them when I catered a client’s outdoor lunch. Her assistant called it “brilliant.” I call it BOOM-SHAKALAKA. You’re welcome. (No, I don’t make a dime recommending this—I just love making your life easier.) 👉 Here’s the magic fly-busting wand

And check out my new dessert creations for a client. This most amazing woman came up to me saying she can never eat desserts because she has all the allergies. GAME ON, I said. I served up a dessert free of all her allergies and she left feeling heard and physically amazing. I love doing this for clients - because I too get, more than you know and realize.

Now for the story that nearly made me cry into my marinara… One of Nathan’s good friends had a birthday this week. I asked his mom what I should make for the pregame meal (yes, he's also on the football team). I suggested teriyaki bowls? Burritos? NOPE. She calls me back and says, “Hey Nikki, did you make baked ziti last year? Because my son hasn’t stopped talking about it. He wants THAT.”

Cue my Italian mama heart exploding into confetti.

Can I do baked ziti? In my sleep, child. And yes, my boys were quick to tell him, “All Italians have baked ziti ingredients on hand 24/7.” (True story. Don’t test me.)

Six trays later, our JV players were happily stuffed, and we walked away with a 40–0 win. Nathan (#21) even scored a touchdown AND played nearly every position short of quarterback. He even tried long snapping - though, sshhhh, let’s just say that ball took flight like it had its own escape plan. Whoopsies. 😂

Whew, friend. This one was a long one, but so much life crammed into one week. Thanks for letting me spill it all. And remember, when life feels like it’s swallowing you whole, we’re here to help.

Take us up on it. You’ll feel the difference, I promise.
