The JV BK boys wrapped up an incredible win against Emmett, and I’ll be honest, I found myself super sad that the season was over. These boys have bonded and built something special, and I’m just so grateful to have a front-row seat to it.
Then, because apparently “rest” isn’t in our vocabulary...I rushed Nathan and Arn straight to the airport to catch everyone’s favorite flight: the red-eye to Maryland. (You guessed it… lacrosse.)
Now, I’m pretty sure Arn overbooked Nathan’s weekend. I mean, coming off a physical football game and four lacrosse practices before the actual games? My mom radar was firing red. After some secret side texts between me, Arn, and Nathan, we all landed on this: it’s a work in progress. We’re just trying to get the most “work” and bang for our buck while out there and everyone needs to be sure to keep the communication open.
So next up - me, coach, and Arn have a little “Hey! Back off my BABY!” chat scheduled (just kidding). 😂 This is a whole new level of competition, something Big Man never got to experience firsthand, but he paved the way for this moment. All the glory to Big Brother, and always to God for guiding these boys. 🙏
And if you’ve ever traveled with Arn, you know two things for sure: Your budget is blown on food and he's always hungry.
So of course, those two hit up the cutest restaurant in Annapolis and ate like kings - which they very much are. (raw oysters, clam & bacon carbonara, fried oyster sammy)
And funny story - let's talk about these pink cleats. The entire sole of his white cleats literally starts to fall off. Does he bring his back-up pair with him???...Nope, sure doesn't. So after a mad-dash to Dicks - this single pair of cleats are all they have in his size. LOL. Pink it is!!
